Why Tip?

Tipping, or baksheesh, is an important part of Egyptian culture and a common way to show appreciation for good service. While not mandatory, tipping is expected in many service-related jobs, as it often makes up a significant portion of workers’ income. A generous tip not only rewards excellent service but also encourages continued hospitality and professionalism.

Tipping is not compulsory, but if you are satisfied with the service, it is a respectful and appreciated gesture. The best way to give tips is handing them personally, preferably in an envelope with a short note of thanks.
